The Writing Process is Hard…

Waddup Savi Crew!

I’m currently in the middle of recruiting beta readers for my middle grade fiction, LOG1: Boyfriend Wanted. My initial plan was to execute the beta reading process during the month of March while I prepped for Camp NaNoWriMo in April. I would pen the sequel to LOG1 so the novels could be published within months of each other—the LOG series has eight novels so time management is crucial. However, that didn’t happen.

My current situation, as of the publication of this blog, no beta reader interest and I’ve advertised on my blog, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Goodreads. But I haven’t lost hope, it’s just much more difficult than I initially anticipated. Onto plan B: I’ve decided to switch genres for Camp Nano—doing a YA anime fantasy instead of the middle grade sequel. In the meantime, I continue on my quest to find beta readers.

Nothing worthwhile comes easy. My successful writing career awaits and I will look back on this blog entry and chuckle to myself. To any aspiring writers out there, do your research, especially if you’ve chosen the self-publishing route. Despite all my setbacks, I know that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.
