Looking for Beta Readers!

Waddup Savi Crew!

I’m looking for betas for middle grade fiction romance. Please see further info and sign-up form below.

Title: Life of Gabby: Boyfriend Wanted (the first in an eight book series).
Length, Draft and Language: approximately 61,000 words, Second Draft, English.
Brief Summary: Gabby Duncan wants to get her first boyfriend. And what better boy than her long-time crush, the wealthy and popular Drake Whitfield. But her strict mother—in a desperate effort to keep her safe and away from boys—won’t let her do anything. And even if she had the nerve to attempt parental defiance; her nosy younger sister, Lizzie would be right on her heels ready to tattle on her, as was her custom. While enjoying the last summer with her BFF, Jules Harper before attending separate high schools, Gabby receives an acceptance letter to private institution, TIDA—the same one as her crush and best friend. Their upcoming camp is the perfect setting for a crush confession. Soon, Gabby is thrust into an environment where she stands out for the wrong reasons, gets detention in her first week and keeps clashing with her teachers. Can Gabby get the boy of her dreams—and hopefully her first kiss—with her mother and sister meddling around?
Sub-Genre & Keywords: Middle Grade Fiction, “teenage”, “first love”, “high school problems”.

Critique Tolerance: I’m requesting a balance between broad strokes—i.e. all the positive things highlighted—and some of the more stark realities.
Experience & Goals: This is my first novel (please be kind with your critique). I’m looking to self-publish by the end of December 2018.
Method of Communication: All interested parties can send me an email: Please cut and paste the Beta Reader Sign-Up below into a new email message page and send the completed form to siosavi@gmail.com I intend to utilise Google Docs to communicate and organise feedback. I hope to commence the beta reading process by March 1st 2018.
Turnaround Time for Feedback: Within one (1) month.
Excerpt: Gabrielle “Gabby” Duncan is a vibrant fourteen year old African American teenager who is about to start high school and readers are along for the ride. The bubbly and talkative youth is ecstatic to spread her wings in an environment far from her strict mother, Mrs. Edith “Edie” Duncan and nosy younger sister, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Duncan with her best friend, Julia “Jules” Harper in tow. Even if that environment is a strict educational institution run by Roman Catholic priests and nuns. Gabrielle has had only dreadful school experiences so far: dealing with a mean bully named Alina El Moussa in preschool and elementary then being shadowed and tattled on by Elizabeth for her entire middle school term. Thus, the opportunity to attend junior high away from her tormentors is a welcome release.
